This is my 2024 config. I used f-secure Total previously , but the disconnecting problems of VPN drive me crazy.

Current config:

Microsoft defender , configuredefender on MAX, WHHLight everything enabled

Microsoft edge
- bitwarden

adguard desktop & cloudflare malware blocking dns

- Disabled microsoft defender
- removed configure defender
- disabled microsoft edge
- removed privazer

+ Installed Comodo internet security 2025 ( enabled proactive config)
+ Installed adguard desktop ( using cloudflare malware blocking dns )
+ Installed google chrome with bitwarden password manager and bitdefender traffic light

TLDR: wanted to try comodo as its been hot topic on MalwareTips, So far its as light as before and silent, no any lagging while gaming or anything, im gonna keep it until i get bored. Added bitdefender traffic light since comodo has no proper web filter & added google chrome since it seems to be less ''bloated' browser and most snappy out there

Back from cottage to home and MalwareTips.

- Removed comodo internet security ( due hips blocking stuff even i unblock files it blocks, firewall being buggy too. Containment working as intented though)
+ Added adguad VPN ( since i have 5 years license, i had problems last time i used but seems they have fixed and vpn is more stable and working on high speeds for now)
+ Added trend micro maximum security

So my current setup is

Trend micro maximum security:
- hypersensitive mode enabled
- web filter on high setting

Adguard desktop
Adguard VPN
- cloudflare malware blocking dns enabled, echi enabled

Google chrome
- duckduck go as search engine

- bitwarden + trend micro extensions

Tldr: improved my privacy a little

Could you give more information on the HIPS and firewall problems mentioned?

I make custom rules on firewall / hips and after i reboot comodo wont remember settings i have set, they still keep blocking stuff and some apps wont launch at all before i unblock them again

I just wait for firewall 2025 version and probably run trend micro with cruelsister settings where i have no problems

If you're using containment, I suggest disabling HIPS. There are no firewall issues here, with a few custom rules. When using HIPS, try selecting "Approved Application" on alerts, if available.

Why not install the firewall using the CIS 2025 installer? I installed the firewall using the full installer with no problems.

I was at my cottage during midsummer and in a rush installed comodo for testing purposes, downloaded cis installer and didnt knew you can only install firewall there. Will take a look on installer again. and as cruelsister aswell suggest to disable HIPS i should aswell do that

When you run the CIS installer, it will extract and open a window. In this window, click on the options or customize button. Then, untick the antivirus option to install only the firewall.

- removed adguard VPN ( on android it drained my battery too badly and on desktop my internet speed is crawling)

+ added comodo firewall 2025 with cruelsister settings ( thanks to @rashmi for telling me that you can untick antivirus and only install firewall ( i did not notice that on my adrenaline rush when i first time installed cis) )

+ since i dont use vpn anymore, i swapped back to google as search engine from duckduckgo
+ also enabled ublock origin - badware risks on adguard desktop, even i use cloudflare as dns

tldr: it seems trend micro and comodo firewall (cs) works together pretty well

Have you tried Brave search? I settled on this some time ago and find what I need without issue.
I tried brave search long time ago, and just set it as search engine for now. I can find stuff i need with it, but im not sure if i like it more than google/duckduckgo in long term use, but time will tell

Did factory install on my android phone ( trend micro + f-secure draining my battery ) so i decided to reinstall windows while installing my android

- removed trend micro
- removed comodo firewall
- removed adguard vpn

- clean install -

Current setup is
- microsoft defender ( default settings )
- brave browser + bitwarden
- Dns0 zero as dns

So i rely on Dns0 zero now, and keep microsoft defender on as it seems to be having best compability with fortnite, than trend micro had.

Question: Should i enable SAC if i have tried it before and it did not block any software from running completely, it just told me that it blocked something but it did not affect into my daily browsing/gaming at all

Adguard vpn is draining battery too fast, same with the f-secure vpn + antivirus.

Didnt meant to say that trend is also draining battery, its fine. But im worried about vpn mode that i have to use to protect brave browser im using now, are you familiar with it?

im probably gonna install trend back as i was good with it , and it shines on web filtering where im kinda paranoid myself . Im just probably gonna get my licenses combined like some other members did

What a light and effective setup, I think I will copy yours to my system. :)

About your question, I think you should enable SAC if it did not bother you, it is a great security layer.
