Notes by Staff Team
  1. This setup configuration does not have a backup plan. We strongly recommend to add a backup solution for your data so that you can restore it in the case of an emergency.
Backing up allows the recovery of data that has been lost due of a malware attack (eg. ransomware) or a hard disk crash. In such events you might lose family photos, your music collection, documents, or financial data. Backups are fast and simple to perform so it should be done on a regular basis.

Boring kaspersky config to start new year with . 2019 went with kaspersky free (cloud free later) , WD+ configuredefender or sophos free.

I guess im done with the comodo, they dropped off from the business for me

What im looking for 2020 is completely new free products, probably just swapping between kaspersky cloud free & sophos free ( looking something to pair it with) when im doing clean install after big windows patches > spring update > autumn update

Ps. no system backup since i clean install everytime from usb stick where i keep latest ISO. available( +3 times a year) i dont tend to keep anything on my pc except browser for networking

11.1.2020

Replaced kaspersky cloud free with sophos home premium ( free version )

I dont have to disable kaspersky script on browser to see EV certificates from firefox rather than from kaspersky

Also web filter is tweakable, even the phishing/malware protection is probably bit worse than kasperskys, but i have added netcraft + malwarebytes browser guard as backup

In Kaspersky there is already an option to do so, and not to disable script injecting

Got rid of comodo internet security

Did clean install, for new config as @stefanos is using bugdefender too

Realtime protection : Bitdefender free

Browser : Vivaldi
- ublock origin ( medium mode)
- Bitwarden password manager
Only few ://flags to avoid breaking vivaldi, since most of settings are built-in on browser, the antivirus web filter is doing as good as browser extension so i wont install that. I rarely install anything so web filter is only thing i promote and it feels like bitdefender is better than kaspersky there...aswell bitdefender wont break my EV certificates when im using vivaldi and wont inject into browser

And as bitdefender is doing some caching, my OCD with the scanning is gone

22.4.2020

- Removed bitdefender
- Removed edge developer browser
- Removed geek uninstaller

+ Added Kaspersky cloud free ( default settings, only added blacklist filter on web filter)
+ Comodo firewall ( Internet security config....everything enabled but HIPS is disabled by default)

Vivaldi browser ( they added adblocking/ tracker blocker feature as built-in where you can add filters yourself)
Extensions:
- Bitwarden password manager
- Netcraft

First time using revo installer free, and its definitely better than geek uninstaller free

- Removed comodo internet security

+ added sophos home premium ( free, not paid) , because of great signatures , good as on-demand scanner, ai
+ Comodo firewall ( cruelsister settings) , because it covers everything
+ Firefox as main browser, since sophos wont work on brave, about:config is overpowered
+ Netcraft, as freemium version of sophos only blocking malware + categories like gambling, adult content etc. what ive chosen

Don't you think Microsoft Defender + Comodo Firewall would be a better option nowadays? Sophos Home is heavier on my system and the Defender's signatures improved a lot too.

If you use new edge or use configuredefender/ windows pro, yes ..i just wanted to have some extra with the firefox while using comodo firewall, i dont like ksc or bitdefender as they dont fit so well it

I had to choose between avg/avast & sophos as they dont require extension on browser
