It don't get on with OSArmor too well - The two programs spend most of the time arguing among themselves which is the threat despite adding exceptions, anyway in the end I removed Armor as I think Zone will cover the bases, at least for now anyway - Apart from detecting Rufus as malware it runs fine - I had a key from a previous Zone program which when entered gave me a discount on the latest version reviewed.
:)

Edit: Does anyone know how to delete items from quarantine? Plz.

So far it does seem to be somewhat a work in progress but, i think I can live with the issues which aren't huge - I did wonder what was happening yesterday when over 900 meg of temp/info/json files were downloaded. I think they were updates gone wrong, I have asked support about this but not heard anything yet, & hasn't happened again. Sticking with Zone (knowing I have an up to date image with Trend on) & looking forward to the next update - Still left Armor off :D

Never any issues with ZA, maybe because you tried to combine with OSA which is not needed at all.
Better install ZA on clean non old AV system

To delete items from quarantine or restore quickly:
Open C:/Program Files (x86)/Check Point/Endpoint Security/Remediation and open the only executable that you see there.

The free version is OK but not wow and I personally do not recommend it. The NextGen beta can be used for free with the license key 845DGV.

Do not combine ZoneAlarm Extreme Security (or Harmony Endpoint) with anything else. The software already offers all tools needed for your system security and additional kernel drivers for anti-spyware and whatnot are not needed. Maintaining a minimal yet full security posture is recommended.

After ZoneAlarm installation, do not forget to enable URL filtering, which is off by default now (not sure why).

I also do not recommend system utilities such as TuneUp software not only in combination with ZoneAlarm, but in general.

Is quarantine management coming to the Ui in a future update?

Quarantine management at the moment even on HEP is a nuisance. They already fixed the exclusions, the new Smart Exclusions are awesome. Better quarantine is coming to HEP in the next few months, ZoneAlarm will have to implement that too.

Thanks for testing @Shadowra , ZoneAlarm and Harmony are currently the must have Antimalware people can get.
Their protection is now the best there is. Proof again, those big companies like Gen Digital keep trying , but bloatware their software so much it simply does not work so good anymore.

I always say, keep it simple, thats why ZA now is running on my system and with some tweaks its running very light ( for me )
Can you share those settings to achieve this very light outcome? Thank You.

Let me see I need 8 licenses for all my family's device...<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

I can see why an enthusiast or someone working with classified information would pay the extra money, for the average home user, I really don't see how you could convince him to spend several times the price of other more traditional solutions.

Anyway, amazing results. I'm quite impressed by it :)
"Let's see I need 8"...............LOL

@tofargone , I understand from your post that you are expressing interest in the ZoneAlarm family of products.

First and foremost, I recommend that you install a trial and see how it behaves on your system.
Before you do that, I suggest you give your system a thorough clean of AV remnants, by launching respective AVs that were installed’s removal tools.

It has been brought to my attention by @Jengo that he needed to turn off core isolation. This may be an isolated case, hasn’t been necessary on any of my systems.

Why ZoneAlarm you ask? Because the emulation is fully automated and uses over 60 engines to inspect files, a lot of them based on anomaly detection. It is not a user-dependant system and delivers clean files, without malware having to he executed on your device (which is never a great idea, even contained).

Phishing protection is also as effective as it gets. If you are interested, I can share resources where you can learn more.
