After watching Shadowra's video on Zonealarm, reading statements here about it, and then downloading the trial, I bought it. Running very nice, and its a protection beast.

After it was acquired by Checkpoint, I was like "Oh man here we go" ... Another good product ruined by someone who didn't create it, thus no passion, because it's not their baby.... But Checkpoint has really made a huge improvement...Good Job Guys.

You are using a businesses product rebrand, slightly more gently configured. Again, I am available if you have any questions.

Thanks for that.

If steam starts coming up from my tower and the monitor says Zonealarm is angry, I will be calling you ASAP
I was talking more about learning resources. It’s not a coincidence that I was summoned when you asked about ZoneAlarm, I am in the process of becoming CP reseller. Although I am more oriented to Harmony, the business portfolio, ZoneAlarm is a rebrand.

I am in touch with the management team and engineers.

I understood, I was just kidding with you.

One thing people should be aware of with Zone is with all probability a VPN using Wireguard or similar wont work, it may appear to work but likely you with have total DNS leaks - Open VPN is the answer if your VPN supports it though will give a much lower speed - My VPN Hideaway uses neither of these protocols so is useless which is a pity as just extended my licence.

Using a trial version of extreme security, protection wise impressive. But i seen some FP's day to day quarantined a valid windows driver as malicious with detection name ML. Behavior by their behavior shield and few other cracks when application is executed. Quarantine is not on UI need to go to folders and restore

Liked it, however extreme protection mechanisms does come with cons. Also felt heavy on my laptop. I will pass it for now

A quick update after 10 days of installation: ultimately overall light on different and very average computers. Almost all of it happens in RAM. About 750 MB of RAM used. Once the few false positives are fixed, no more alerts. I am satisfied and confident in the protection. I am an advanced user but not at all a very advanced one. I am staying with it, this product suits me.

I'm waiting for some of the announced updates like GPU assisted processing and quarantine management in the UI before testing. Basically because I expect some false positives with software like this and it'll be easier when you can manage things from inside the UI.

Meanwhile I'm having fun playing around with Norton 24 :)

Watch out that the article is still from earlier generation of ZA (KB from 2017). Many of the KB articles at ZA are referring to the previous ZA version.
Here I am not experiencing issues with VPN protocols.

Cheers,

I haven't had any problems here. It did flagg one application (lesser known) and then I just clicked on restore and the app was fine

I tried it with IVPN, Bullet on Wireguard + Mullvad as well as Hideaway which uses none of those protocols, all showed DNS leaks - As mentioned they appear to work until you check for DNS Leaks? I have asked support for a refund explaining my issues but the reply asks what problems am I having - My hopes are not very high? As just bought a 5 year licence for a VPN which is more expensive than Zone - I didn't realise there even was a Wireguard VPN issue until I did a DNS check, then did a bit of research. Still that's life ?
