Hi ti all!!! My first time and (of course) first thread. Just a note to those who have experienced what I did. I use MSE on my Win7 for a good reason: It was made for this system back in 2009 but it does have it´s weaknesses. Through time, I have found that Malwarebytes Anti-malware helps it to keep away any malware on website infected. It sees them all the time and gobbles them up. Also, Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit blocks just what says it blocks. I have had this trio for years now and never been infected by anything since I bought my laptop in 2010.

Just my opinion, but this is all freeware and protection can´t be beat.

MSE and Malwarebytes (both) have a decent level of security.

But if, as I see, you play with malware, the situation is different because it is necessary to use a virtual environment separate from the Host to avoid or at least limit an infection in the real system.
If you have personal data, the risk of losing them due to a malware infection is high, then you should use VirtualBox free, VMware free or at least Shadow Defender (paid software).
You should also consider a backup plan to secure data and the operating system.
OneDrive is useful for data but for the OS you can use Paragon B&R free.

Just an assurance that MBAM mainly focus on latest threats with minimal of database of signatures so you should take care for any untoward incident. MSE contains basic protection that can protect from the long run however testing malware samples are better on an isolated environment.

Definitely a light config! Thanks for sharing it :)
Definitely consider a VM for malware samples
Consider one or two more on demand scanners such as Emsisoft Emergency Kit and or ESET Online Scanner
Adding Sandboxie to your config is something to consider
Definitely some type of backup solution as @Klipsh suggested
