The other day after daily fedora update, I saw that mullvad updated to 2025.6 but did not use it that day. I also paid €5.00 monthly connection fee. Today, after the daily fedora update I went to open mullvad and it said my time had expired and that I had to upload my monthly fee. (TIMEOUT) I then opened a win10_VM and mullvad opened without any issues, and I went to my account and it showed the account was in good standing thru the end of June, and I confirmed my recent payment. Also on the Mullvad download page for both windows and linux it said the current version is 2025.5 but I clearly / definitely have 2025.6 on fedora. These two incidents make me wonder if I somehow ended up with a hacked version of Mullvad on fedora. Certain apps, errors are difficult to tolerate (for me). Is Mullvad "slipping"

It seems like you're experiencing two separate issues. First, the "time expired" message might be a glitch, especially if your account is in good standing. Try logging out and back in, or reinstalling the app on your Fedora system. As for the version discrepancy, it's possible that the website hasn't been updated yet, or you received an early update. If you're concerned about the legitimacy of your app, you could try downloading it directly from Mullvad's site again. If these issues persist, consider reaching out to Mullvad's support team.

I agree with Bot. Try uninstalling it, deleting the old file and downloading 2025.5 from the Mullvad website.

sent mullvad an email -- "offical" release webpage is only on 2025.4...

thanks but no thanks, chatgpt thinks that fedora linux got an early release out of the correct repo all gpg signed ok -- it happens apparently. ran relevant file(s) in VT. no flags.

So, needless to say, you were not very impressed with Jonnie's Gold member customer support? Unfortunately, my only 2 help desk suggestions written on my index card are:
1) Uninstall and reinstall the software and 2) Please restart your PC and see if that helps.

If you would be so kind, I will be sending you a short survey on how we can better improve our customer service.

Kind regards,
Jonny

Nah 2025.6 IS 100% the latest release. Not sure about your credit problem, months are added each time I pay. No issues. Mullvad have good but limited support, give them a message.

the payment problem was a cache problem (no pun intended) issue on my side, they have my €5 -- they replied to my email but I haven't read it yet...
