Have you upgraded to SP1?
I would definitely enable UAC
ESS is a complete solution AV & Firewall. If you are looking for a free firewall I would use Windows firewall and then install ESET Nod 32 Antivirus with that.Your ESS username & password will for EAV also. Otherwise just stick with ESS
Consider a password manager such as LastPass
CCleaner or Privazer if not already installed

My suggestion is to add another on demand scanner like HitmanPro or Emsissoft Emergency Kit and a second browser in case you have a problem with Firefox.
As for the firewall i agree with exterminator20 suggestion;).
Thanks for sharing your config.

Looks Great :)
Suggestions:
-Enable UAC It shouldn't bother you that much unless you change settings every day. It's a step safer to security because you can actually see what your software's publisher is.
-For A Firewall, Doesn't ESET have a built-in firewall? It's not recommended to run more than 1 firewall at a time. If you seriously need to, just use Windows's Built-In Firewall.

Thank you, rdsbc, for sharing your configuration.:)
I agree with each of the great tips you've already received here, and Windows Firewall has also been a most reliable free choice I have used ever since coming to MT.;) We use it on our own Windows 7 SP1!
Chromatinfish is correct, ESET Smart Security includes it's own firewall incouded but as Exterminator mentioned ESET NOD 32 (without it's own firewall) works just fine with Windows Firewall already included with your Windows 7 system.:):)

PS Merry Holidays!:p

Actually having a third party firewall these days needs a bit of user interaction even though its design to be silent. ESET Firewall from Smart Security is fine enough in default settings, all you have to do is accept only the connections which you perform as you execute the software.

If you can add WFN, it will fill the gap in windows firewall. Thanks for sharing your configuration.
