I would recommend you to upgrade bitdefender to IS 2014 and to install an On-demand scanner, it can find malwares that bitdefender missed. you can use: Malwarebytes or hitman pro

I agree, an upgrade, and a on demand.. Any extensions you use for Chrome? Any sort of back up plan?

Backup,On-demand such as Malwarebytes and or Hitman Pto.Password Manager such as LastPass
Chrome extensions,AdBlock Plus,HTTPS Everywhere,WOT to name a few
