Add-ons: I recommend WOT and Bitdefender TrafficLight.
What is the UAC setting?

You can backup your personal data to an external medium (ie. USB or External HDD), be wary of using online backup services.

Avast IS is very lite on my system I'm not getting any slowdowns at all
