Briefly explain your current issue(s)
Slow time to turn on, slow time to turn on after i make a restart, google chrome requires a lot of CPU and Disk use according to task manager, programs require like 10-15 seconds to turn on, etc etc...
Steps taken to resolve, but have been unsuccessful
I did, install a lot of programs, Hard Disk Sentinel ( I did a Surface Test ) everything was fine, chk dsk, start up manager ( very low programs ) i also installed GPU and CPU temperature programs, everything was fine etc etc...
Hello, I have an issue with my PC, it takes slow time to turn on like 1 minute 45 seconds and VERY SLOW TIME after i make a restart while the PC is turned on like 4 minutes and 30 seconds...

I did like almost every possible test and everything was fine and OK.

My PC has a gaming configuration and I bought it in December 2012.

Is it possible cause of the " Driver Updater " program which I bought it in middle 2018 and it updated all of my drivers?

Below are ALL of the Screenshots which I did tests and the results are all perfect.

No virus, no errors, no nothing.

Please help me, regards.

HI,

Boot to Safe mode with Networking and try to uninstall from there.

If not possible Download and run this uninstaller tool.

Please download the free version of Revo Uninstaller Portable from here and save the compressed file to your computer's Desktop.
  • Double-click the compressed file RevoUninstaller_Portable and extract the files within it (it will be created a folder with the same name);[/*]
  • Within that folder, right-click the file RevoUPort and select Run as administrator to open the tool;[/*]
  • Click Yes to accept the UAC security warning that may appear;[/*]
  • Click OK to accept the License Agreement and Copyright;[/*]
  • Select 'The Program to Remove' and click Uninstall. Follow the instructions to complete the removal process;[/*]
  • In 'Search Mode' set it to 'Advanced' and click on the Scan button. The tool will search for leftovers;[/*]
  • Click on Select All and then on Delete and then Yes to delete the selected items;
Note: You may have to repeat this step to delete all the leftovers (Registry items, files and folders);[/*]
  • Click the Finish button and restart the computer to complete the removal process.[/*]

Delete everything associated with Avira.

If any Avira folders files remains delete them and restart the computer.

Try the rest of the fix as suggested.

I don't see many reasons for a slow boot, my experience tell me that you have many services running in the background and in boot, even they don't show in startup, looking for the quantity of applications that you have installed I know that some of that services are running in the background and start with the PC. I just look to your home screen and can tell you that:

Acrobat reader- Lots of services, you really don't need Acrobat Reader, are more light way applications for the job.

Daemon tools- I don't see why you need this, for games you can emulate in windows this was a tool used in the 80s when I was a torrent moderator and games need this to be cracked, not anymore. Lots of services in background.

Utorrent - bad choice, uninstall this because of the advertisement and extra services installed, try qbtorrent, believe me I know about torrents and p2p, try qbtoorent the interface his the same no additional learning need.

Nero - you look like my best friend, you and him will get along. He loves nero, great tool to many services, maybe off all applications I refer this is the one that will install more services and many off them unnecessary, please consider a more light burning tool.

This is my advice, you have some intrusive applications and with lot off services install that will run in the startup.

Sorry for my English

Volume Shadow Copy

I need to see the
1 - Fixlog.txt
2 - the Fss.txt

Volume Shadow Copy was not on the check list from FSS.exe

Before I did your test i defragmented my PC, both local disc C, D and system reserve.

Here are the results.

Steps I made.

1. avira_registry_cleaner_en.exe failed to fix at the start, I had to check avira web site for how to uninstall the anti virus, because going through control panel said uninstall failed.
and the file you provided needed to be run in safe mode.

2. I uninstalled avira in safe mode then reverted back to normal mode.

3. I run the fixlist.txt through FRST64.exe program ( i waited about 45 minutes).

4. My computer restarted and while it was in loading screen it had a blackscreen showing some fixes of local disc C probably cause of your fixlog.txt file.

5. I ran FSS. exe and Volume Shadow Copy was not on the check list from FSS.exe

6. I provided the results.

7. After i finish with my post here i am gonna do a restart on PC and see how fast it is gonna open.

P.S. my screenshots are in HD mode, which means you can see everything properly, it is in high end resolution. 1920x1080 ;)

Hi,

I did a restart of my computer and it turned on in 2 minutes and 20 seconds with all icons on desktop and stuff.

HOWEVER, Google chrome required 15-20 seconds to open and show the tab.

Any solution for this?

Guys, I dont even use Acrobat Reader, Daemon Tools, Utorrent and Nero, they are there since I bought the PC.

I mean, Daemon tools and utorrent got installed after because i was downloading games from there.

Anyway there arent any background processes from the programs mentioned above.

I turned off pc, waited 1 hour, turned it on, all icons and google chrome opened exactly after 1 min 30 seconds.

I see no improvements... :(

@Filip
Troubleshooting may involve disabling or removing programs from your PC to identify if they were the cause of the problem.
I did uninstall the 4 apps mentioned by @Freud2004

I uninstalled Nero last, and it required restart by the program itself, so basically yet again there are no improvements.

I know ##### about computers, systems, security, internet and all but i am pretty much sure about 2 things:

1. My PC case needs to be blown out by a compressor by a PROFESSIONAL, in depth blowing that is, every little detail and piece inside everything must be blown so there shouldnt be 1% of dust inside the case.

2. The drivers updated by the driver updater program in 2018, screwed it all, how can i remove all of my driver updates back to normal?

I did again restart PC because the first restart was require by Nero program.

It was 51 seconds that it was circling around the restart then screen went black, then motherboard menu show then windows etc etc and in 2 mins 10 seconds windows loaded desktop with all icons.

However it took 25 seconds for google chrome to open.

Making it 2 mins 35 seconds ready time.

Please find below Screenshots of my Desktop, Installed programs and task manager and maybe identify the problem.

Regards.

My previous hdd failed after 5 years (not used for gaming). It's amazing that the hdd I used for gaming has lasted 10 years.
SMART is a guideline number. It can be diagnosed as safe and still fail, or it can be labeled as dangerous and continue to work fine.

In my personal opinion, you seem to be the type of person who takes time to strategize before taking action, and I think troubleshooting a PC is like playing chess or chess, where you change your strategy step by step. I wish you the best of luck in solving your problems.

This is a typical situation that would require restoring an image system, which in most situations it would be performed under 10 minutes. I guess you don't have a backup image, if I were you I would re-install windows if all suggestions failed to solve your problem.

Hi,

I did a standard scan ( recommended one ) and it found nothing.

Only 9 PuP's and 1 keylogger but that keylogger i deleted long time ago, ( i installed it for my own reasons ) only the leftover was left in the windows system.

Should I run a custom full scan or...?

Please find below Screenshots of my Desktop, Installed programs and task manager and maybe identify the problem.
You have a lot of outdated critical apps, Firefox 77, TeamViewer 15.5.3, Steam 1.0.0.0 (wth?) and multiple versions of JRE, that alone could cause issues. K-Lite from 2012, omg.
Office 2003 + Office 2007, no Nero installed, etc, I suspect cracks and a lot of shady things going on. Either way, that PC needs a lot of love or a complete reinstall to be salvageable.
