From Reinvigorate

Pretty much every website you go to tracks you, google being the worst offender. Just install something like Ghostery and you will be fine. Also in most browsers there is a do not track checkbox in the options. Also clear all cookies upon closing your browser.

Also you can unchecked from your browser in "accepting cookies" however majority of the sites need cookies to accept in order to proceed like in log in sites.

Cleaned them with privacy cleaners after browsing at any sites.

Most of the sites use a service to monitor they traffic (most of the sites are using Google Analytics - one of the most accurate services) , the main reason why they do it is because they need statistical data of what's going on.
For instance we need it because the software developers ask us what is our number of daily guests when requesting a giveaway.
Like pcjunklist said , if you don't want to be tracked just use a browser plugin and this should solve the problem :D
