RE: My Config Advice

Welcome to MalwareTips. :)

If you have Norton Internet Security 2012 installed you don't need ThreatFire.

Might want to consider installing Service Pack 1 for Windows 7 through Windows Update.

Hi, any advice on my config? i was thinking about removing Threatfire as norton warned my about compatibility issues with it, any reccommendations ?
I think you should uninstall Threatfire because of the conflicts that
you have been warned. I also think its development is kind of
behind the times so if I was you, I ll keep Norton and MBAM and
uninstall TF.

If you want to try something that, maybe you have not tried, that
works, try Sandboxie.

RE: My Config Advice

Actually NIS2012 and Sandboxie are a good choice.

You can remove WinPatrol.

Also you can add EMET (Enhanced Mitigation Experienced Toolkit) you can set the programs that were vulnerable.

As far as I know Threatfire is already included in NIS, you can turn on advanced HIPS features in the advanced settings. Not enable by default for basic users.

I'm surprised at the number of people who don't know NIS has HIPS features.

Thanks.:D
