It would certainly be very hard to get infected with this setup, my brother lets his kids do whatever on the computer. They have yet to get a virus on this and they try and download everything.

You're totally right! That's why i said that. I use a strong security configuration because in the past i didn't and i got infected way too much! :p

Zerion,

Norton Security - Light & effective, automatic...sometimes you will get alert but easy to understand the alerts.
Kaspersky - Some say light, some say not that light. Protection wise effective, automatic...sometimes you will get alert but easy to understand the alerts.
Bitdefender - Most users say not light & buggy. Protection wise effective & automatic.
Eset - Most users say light. Protection wise effective & automatic.

For users that dont know much about security I suggest Norton Security - Provides overall effective protection.

Add uBlock Origin in browsers - Available for Chrome & Firefox. Excellent ads blocker.
Install Unchecky - Good PUP (Potentially Unwanted Application) unchecker i.e many installers comes with bundled additional unwanted programs - Unchecky removes/unchecks unwanted programs installs in the installers.

Basically... yeah, but once you get the hang of it, it's great for testing security software.

But the site have only buy tab, no download or trial tab?

Identical\same installer.

Just download installer, install and then select "Evaluate AppGuard Trial for 30 days" - it says something like that.

Well I am not near as knowledgable as the other guys, but it seems someone missed out on telling you about a BackUp.

I would install Win 10, and Microsoft Office, then do all updates, now make 2 backups (BU). I use AX64 Timemachine (do this one first), then I BU with Macrium (do this one after AX64 Time Machine)

Now install your must have software, but no security stuff yet... Make the 2 Backups like before (This time faster because they will be differential).

Now install some of the security software above, try it...IF you don't like it restore your last BU you just made and install another security package to try...This way your machine is always clean, your not installing security software, then uninstalling it...To restore one of the BU's only tales 30-120 seconds...

Oh last thing... You mentioned ransome protection, if you look at "Cruelsisters" Videos only about 3 or 4 suites/antivirus seem to protect. One was AVG (I use the AVG Suite and it runs very fast on my PC). AVG Ultimate was on sale somewhere for like 30 bucks...Good deal.

Thanks Rod, I am looking into a Backup as of today while I was here on another thread earlier. Yes that's a no no not to have a BU. I do use TimeMachine for my Mac but other then that I've always reformatted which is the easy way out. Now I'm not going to be a happy camper reformatting anymore. Looking into BU Software...

For Free I think Comodo Internet Security. For Paid Emsisoft Anti-Malware or Internet Security. Also you could run Zemana Anti Malware free or Paid too.
