Every single time I install Emsisoft for testing, it is the same result. It uses 1+ GB RAM, updates are slow use a lot of CPU, and scans are slow and use a lot of CPU. I don't care about the RAM. The systems have 32 or 64 GB RAM so no big deal there. But the other stuff - including their quirky GUI which Christian Mairoll should have left alone as separate tabs - I don't know what exactly about the entire package - I just don't like it. I can't quite identify what combination of things that make me want to install it. All I know is that I just don't like it and it never lasts on any system. To be fair, I think I will buy a single license and give it a long-term full shot at convincing me it has greatly improved. My impression is that it has gone down-hill a bit in user experiences since Fabian moved-out of the position he held 5 or 6 years ago.
