New Kaspersky 2020 English available

I apologize if this is a really stupid question but ...
I want to buy KIS 2019 from Amazon.co.uk (they're not selling KIS 2020 yet) but I noticed that the Kaspersky website only offers you KIS 2020.
Will the KIS 2019 activation code work with KIS 2020 on a clean install, as I have 2016 installed so (I guess) I'd have to uninstall that first and remove that license.
Or do I have to install KIS 2019 offline /en-gb/kis/19.0.0.1088/, add the 2019 activation code, then upgrade internally to 2020?
The Kaspersky website says that a KIS 2019 activation code will only work with KIS 19, 18 & 17, but I keep reading that you get a free upgrade from the current product to the latest. Is that when KIS 2019 is already installed?

A K2019 license will activate versions K2018, K2020, K2021 & 2022 (rule -1 / +3).

If I want to install KIS 2020 offline, do I just download all the files from /en-gb/kis/20.0.14.1085/ and run startup.exe, and is the version in /en-gb/kis/20.0.14.1085/ the official release?
What do I do with regards to the x64 and x86 folders?

You can ask KL Support an offline installer, or download all that structure of folders/files and then run startup.exe...
I got full offline installer from Kaspersky. KIS and KAV 2020 in Portuguese (Portugal). If by any chance anyone needs it, I can provide. I can not disclose direct link.

How do I replicate the x64/ and x86/ folders in /en-gb/kis/20.0.14.1085/ - clicking on them opens text.

If you run http://dm.kaspersky-labs.com/en-gb/kis/20.0.14.1085/startup.exe, will it install files from that en-gb folder location, ie, the UK files, or can it tell where you're located and force a different geo version on you. I've got to help two family members abroad install this and I want them to install the UK version.
Contacted Kaspersky Support and got the UK offline installer for KIS 2020.

Hi, months ago I installed Kaspersky Free Antivirus version 2019, now the version is 19.0.0.1088(h).
Does not Kaspersky updates itself to the new 2020 version?

Hi, probably not, depending on the country regions...
You can run the KFA2020 version and try to install over the 2019 version, it should work.
If does not work, then You should uninstall 2019 and then install 2020...

Jesus, installed latest Kaspersky Cloud Free and it BSOD'ed my system after installation, after uninstallation of VPN, lockedup during uninstall, what the hell. I had to forcibly remove it with kavremove. Oh and it trashed my SSD so chkdsk activated and fixed some stuff.

Do you use system restore or any image backup that uses it? If so, you might want to check if KAV remover broke system restore.

Oh for god sake, is Kaspersky still screwing System Restore? I'm now getting error when opening System Restore panel. I was fixing this ages ago, but can't remember if I fixed it or not...
