Solved NIS 2012 Not Applying Some Updates

Just wondering if others have had a problem with NIS 2012 Live Update... It downloads 3 specific items but fails to apply...

1) Norton 2012 Web Protection Definitions
2) Norton 2012 Smart Virus Definitions X64
3) Norton Activity Map Data

I restored to a prior 'clean system image'... still seems to happen... I have 32Bit PC which has experienced no issues...

uninstall it with the removal tool then reinstall it then update it.

That sounds unnecessary, since it's a problem at Symantec causing it.

Looks like a common problem, one of the posts in the second link says not to reinstall Norton, since it could be an issue with Norton's server. Just hold it out.

Thanks for responses... The 'System Image' which I used did not have NIS 2012 installed... I Reinstalled NIS 2011 then upgraded to NIS 2012...

I think I'm just going revert back to 'NIS 2011'... I seem to have had a few 'Buggy' instance with NIS 2012... but, of course, JMO...
