Solved No HDD Found

Hi Every One, I m facing so strange problem. i have Acer Aspire 5749 Laptop I3

It has some bad secotrs i was running Partition Guru for checking errors. As the scan complete computer restarted automatically then no Hard Drive found error i m getting i tried to install new window Xp and 7 Both, even i went into Repair Option in Win7 No Diskette Found.

Any Body Know how to fix it?

What happens when you start it up,just a black screen with the error or can you get into the bios to see if your HDD is listed?

Does the drive make any sounds on startup,like a series of clicking noises in a repetitive cycle or a lower whining noise in a similar repetitive cycle?

How old is the drive?

Were you experiencing any slowdowns,freezes or crashes prior to this happening?

The first thing would be to make sure all connections to the drive are secure.

Sometimes unfortunately a HDD will just have a Sudden Catastrophic Failure.
