However, I have a question: I just installed my Norton license. I still have 964 days left. Do I need to install any add-ons in my browsers? I had Norton before Avast. If so, what do I need to install and where can I get it? Just for browsing. I use Edge, Chrome, and Firefox.

I still can’t get over the Bitdefender/Kaspersky habit, lol. I purchased Bitdefender for 5 devices back in 2019 and have been renewing it ever since — not a single infection has occurred so far.

The same goes for Kaspersky.

for my old laptop I am trying AVG as i cannot activate free version of bitdefender / kaspesky but it is better than i expected but not to extent to replace with paid version and replace bitdefender

I have a Norton subscription till 2029 but use avg which is the same thing except the VPN is just integrated into Norton better.

Advertising won't show up until you do a smart scan which i noticed in your screenshot you have not. Can you run a smart scan and see if the message shows up on the GUI?

What I don't like in the first place, but didn't like before either, is that it throws in my face how many "errors" it found and, of course, that I should buy Norton Utilities to fix them.

@TuxTalk - I used Norton from the very beginning & up to a few years ago, I appreciate you at the moment like it & I respect that, however I still have my opinions & can voice them, I tried the recent offering quite recently & maintain a PC for a friend who will only use Norton, your comment 'If you dont want it, dont install it' is your opinion. Personally I accept protection is first rate but other parts are not what I want? If robust (actually humorous) comments are off the table best not post ?

I think a misunderstanding , sorry, i mean the extra options that Norton advertises. Not the program itself ;-) *to be honest i switched again... you will see later* again sorry for the misunderstanding !
