When Avast and now Norton decide to remove software you want to use you can: 1) Change the behavior on detection from automatic to ask to the user. Then when it detects just add it straight to exclusions. 2) Let it quarantine the executable then remove it from quarantine. It will ask you if you want to add an exclusion. Something you should do when using Avast/Kaspersky/Bitdefender and any other security software that creates a data cache is perform a full scan of your computer once. Then you can deal with all the problems that arise and have a significant performance boost at the same time.
