Although Snowden's revelations caused some discomfort, remember that he was many levels below being able to access cutting-edge. Everybody and their kitty have been after a workable quantum computer for a while and are spending great sums to make it a reality. The main issue is that current research would only demonstrate activity at temperatures very close to absolute zero, so not practical at all.

But things just changed last month as the folks at IBM created the first room temperature Bose-Einstein Condensate on a thin polymer film (now all the little bosons can line up like soldiers). This is the development that was critical.

The Rebellion is coming soon. Remember, only we have the power to stop them. Hacking groups will all come together and put a stop to this. The only terrorism we should be worried about is our own government.
