Reset Windows 23H2, latest stable build. Enabled Smart App Control and only installed minimal 3rd party apps. I'm done with customization apps or trialing AVs. At least, for now.;):D

My experience encountering OS bugs is that Windows 11 doesn't like people fooling with their OS.

And if one customization no longer works I would skip just that one.
I wasn't speaking about customization apps being buggy, but rather Windows. Windows 11 is prone to too many issues, bugs, etc., so I'm not going to contribute to that by installing and uninstalling a lot of 3rd party apps.

Right now, everything is working as expected. Simplicity and minimalism is my goal.

I didn't mean customization apps. I was talking more about disabling services, applying registry settings, Gpedit settings and so on, without using any apps; I prefer to know what I am applying rather than to rely on some gui that hides what is going on. I prefer Gpedit settings over registry settings as then I know the setting has MS's recognition.

I think I will follow you in that, but after I get windows 24H2 installed, it is not yet offered for me, I read that it started to roll out to all windows installations recently, and I'm waiting my turn.

And about 3rd party apps, I noticed that a lot of windows built-in tools get improved (I don't know about bug fixing but at least from added features perspective) so I think I will minimize the list of 3rd party apps too.

I'm using UBOL "On click" mode with Privacy Badger running full time on Chrome. When I hit a site where I need extra blocking power, one click and "Boom!". It only runs on selected sites. Nice, efficient way to use multiple blockers. And Chrome UI possibly has the best implementation of this feature.
