And more than one in six of W 11 users are using unpatched W 11 23H2 as their core-2-duo cpu does not support SSE4.2

The number taking the chance of using unpatched Windows is higher than those ready to learn a new OS.

Some people use their PCs like they would at an internet cafe, not caring much about security or privacy or doing anything special with them. They just want to access the internet to watch videos.

Both valid points and spot on. We @ MT are in the minority with security. We live it and breath it but others don't care.

Users have grown up on more secure mobile platforms like iOS and Android. So the need to learn and to practice safe security hygiene is almost nil. At least E2EE is adopted.

As a industry we have failed, failed to educate people and failed to inform and mentor and guide people to practice safe security.

The problem with the security industry is elitism and too many people with big ego's not wanting to help people learn. This is a problem just not security but IT in general.

Everyone starts somewhere and we need to do better to mentor the next generation. MT is probably the friendliest forum besides the strict Wilders forum so

At least with A.I. people can get the information without the egoism and arrogance/abuse. The problem is what is the model trained on? Big issues.

I 'look after' a few PC's friends? & family, the way I have dealt with the 10 situation was to let people know the risks & if they if they wish to run a system no longer supported they will do it without my help, this has to have worked
