Who do you think best?
-Performance
Both are same when it comes to performance. A HIPS doesn't cause much system impact cause they don't do a lot.
-Security
Online Armor is much better then Outpost. Look, probably all new PCs are 64bit. And till version 7.5 Outpost was useless because they didn't implant the kind of security part needed to protect 64bit systems. OA had this part much earlier.
When I confronted developers on the official forums, they didn't answer. When I asked the support directly then I got some standard paste and copy answer that was complete useless. I had to wait for 4 days to get an answer. Imagine you system is infected or you need help very quick. Yea.
Online Armor developers were very clear from the beginning and very responsive. Emsisoft is known for its support and customer service. They will answer and try to help you as much as they can.
They are were honest. They never told me or advertise something their product cannot do.
Outpost 7.1 free is still advertised as perfect security solution on the agnitum website although it isn't even Windows 8 compatible.
-Options
Online Armor has the nicer UI, much better descriptions when it comes to HIPS popups and is easier on the eyes.
I would never ever touch Outpost again because I don't like that kind of policy they have.
