Hello everyone,

We’re happy to announce that we’ve started a new development cycle, and this Opera 96 developer release is a very first build from that branch! It’s based on Chromium version 110.0.5449.0.

Today is a special day for our employees in Poland because on December 20, 1991, the first computers in Poland were connected to the Internet. We’ve come a long way since then.

In this weekly Opera developer update, we would like to present a new feature requested by you.

Now you can customize Start Page tiles with your own images. This should make the tiles much clearer, especially for those of you who use Google doc tiles, and allow you to find exactly what you want visually. You can right-click on any tile and find this option in the context menu:

Today we prepared the Opera 96 developer update. Chromium is updated to version 110.0.5481.30. And there is also a nice improvement included. The tab tooltip that allows you to see tabs from the same domain now has an additional option of allowing you to close a tab.

This Opera 95 beta update provides Chromium security fixes included in 109.0.5414.120. It also introduces a new signing certificate for macOS therefore Opera may ask you to type your password again. The changelog for Opera 95.

First just a very fair headsup when it comes to Operas developer and also beta versions. Don't be surprised, when they crash. I dropped them both for the stable version years ago, but sure even that one had it's fair share of issues.

This new Opera build is based on Chromium 110.0.5481.77. It includes improvements for the Video Pop-out window and fixes some installer issues for Windows 7/8.1 users.

Also, #snapshot-full-page (beta) option is now enabled, so you’re welcome to test it out. It’s especially useful for those who want to take a full-page top-to-bottom screenshot that includes all parts, both within the viewport and without. If you want to only capture the visible parts, use the button ‘Capture visible page‘.
