Troubleshoot Oracle VM VirtualBox wont open the vm

Did you try to check VT-x settings in BIOS?

How do i go to that setting in my ASUS settings

Search over BIOS, it has to be somewhere in BIOS settings.

@nsm0220, after updating Virtual Box I had also experienced VMs not opening on two separate host accounts. After considering giving up, in Windows uninstaller, I chose the repair option rather than "uninstall". VMs are now opening normally, as before, on our Windows 8.1 system.

I hope this unexpected fix works works as surprisingly well for you as it did for us!

Mine works fine Upgraded from 4.3.28 to 5.0 Anyway, do you have VTx enabled and do you have Hyper-V disabled ?
