I have the PRO version of this now in VM attempting to make a video review but it does not display alerts when detecting a threat but it will show the threat was detected in the Events Report screen and in the log.

Quite annoying indeed stopping me from making the video I intend.

Edit: Resolved the issue, video review is up.

The change log looks really good...

Scanning speeds have been improved dramatically.
How long it will take in order for Panda Cloud 1.5 to run a "Quick Scan"?Also how long it would take the same scan if performed with version 1.4. ?

CPU consumption has been reduced thanks to improvements in the BackgroundScan
One feature that I really like in MSE is that you can setup how much CPU MSE can use during it's background scan, so I would really like to see a similar option in Panda.

Softpedia did a review for Panda Cloud 1.5 under the title of "Panda Cloud Antivirus Nimbler than Ever" . Here are the conclusions :

Softpedia said:
The Good

Free protection against malware, fast access to Collective Intelligence and simplicity all-around are among the main pluses in Cloud Antivirus. But this version also comes with improved performance on all fronts: scan speed, system resources usage as well as malware detection rate.

The Bad

It managed to detect more than it could neutralize. We were left with plenty of threats on the test system despite them being flagged as known malware. Also, in some cases it may block a program without giving you a heads up on the action.

There is no action menu to allow you to instruct the application what to do with the items it detected as threats but did not manage to neutralize them.

The Truth

Panda Cloud Antivirus is indeed easy to use, very light on system resources and manages to offer protection against all sorts of malware. Despite being a free product it manages to provide a lot more than just basic protection.

If you are running it on a clean system it will do a very good job keeping threats at bay. Since it relies on intelligence from the cloud no updates are required and the collective pool of information about threats will be shared with your system in a snap.

You can read the hole review here.

Pros
Fast install, minimal system impact. Good scores from independent labs. Good detection of active malware. Excellent scareware cleanup. Blocks access to dangerous Web sites.

Cons
Failed to remove all detected malware. Failed to prevent installation of some detected threats.

Bottom Line
This free antivirus solution minimizes its impact on your system by using the cloud for malware detection, and its simple user interface is easy on the eyes. In testing, it didn't completely handle every detected threat, but it's still a reasonable choice if you're looking for a free solution.
