It is advised to take all reviews with a grain of salt. In extreme cases some reviews use dramatization for entertainment purposes.

Panda Dome Advanced is a paid antivirus solution offering real-time protection, advanced security features, and additional tools designed to protect users against modern threats.

However, in my previous tests, Panda Dome never managed to successfully stop the threats I tested it against. Now, we’re giving it another chance — this time with the paid version of Panda Dome Advanced to see if the additional features and protection can make a real difference.

Let’s take a closer look at all of this.

Interface :

The interface hasn't changed, but since this is a paid version, Panda offers several additional shields.
It includes anti-exploit protection (now also available for free), web filtering, a firewall, anti-ransomware protection, and a shield that blocks unknown applications (similar to Avast’s Lockdown or Hardened Mode).

Panda is also a relatively lightweight antivirus program.

Malware URL : 9/10
Only one URL was not detected; the rest were blocked by the antimalware engine or by web filtering.
2 link dead

Malware Pack : 61 out of 162 threats remain
Getting a good score on the scan is great (Panda successfully detected worms, viruses, and several Trojans), but defending itself… that would be even better!
Even though Panda will start to defend itself (by blocking connections to C&C servers or through its anti-exploit shield, which will block PowerShell commands), it will quickly find itself overwhelmed by attacks.
During execution, the TokyoCore Cryptolocker ransomware launches and locks up the machine.
Panda fails once again...

Final scan : N/A (PC blocked)

Final opinion:

Panda offers several protection features in this version.
It has some good ideas (its web filtering is excellent!) and its anti-exploit capabilities are improving, as is its machine learning-based detection.
However, Panda’s major weakness is still its inability to block unknown malware.
Even though Panda is trying to improve, this protection feature still lags behind.
Still not recommended

Stick around until the end of the video—there’s a surprise :p

@Shadowra how does the paid version compare to free?

I still like the Panda no matter what.

The free version does not include web filtering or Application Control

Was it tested on default settings? What about Application Control? Sorry I have not watched the vid, but I will soon.

I haven't enabled it. Sure, it might add an extra layer of protection, but it can also get annoying. Just like Avast/AVG's Hardened Mode.
We'll see if I ever make a video with this module enabled ;)
The settings are at their defaults.

Surely, Panda AC, gave me many pop ups asking to either allow or block launched apps, but I have never seen a single pop up from AVG/Avast Hardened mode.

Edit:

In my case Panda AC only showed notifications for unsigned apps.

Why would I use Panda when there are obviously more effective alternatives just as light, I can't think of a reason??
I have asked those who are using it and one of the main reasons was that it is a European Vendor. I am not sure it if it is still European after it was acquired by Watch Guard.

I've never seen it in action before not even on my Family devices. Is the notepad app digitally signed?
Not signed.
But Avast permits all other unsigned apps I use.
On the contrary, MD SmartScreen or ASR rule of file prevalence is like a crazy dog stopping several unsigned prevalent latest versions of popular apps such as peazip and mpc-hc.

Witam, proponuje zmodyfikować pandę w ustawieniach w następnych testowaniach

Hello, proposes to modify the panda in the settings in the next testing
