Panda is among the few vendors that has not detected iRansom.
Definitively the problem is not iRansom but Panda!

I agree Panda needs to improve on its anti-ransomware capabilities. They had a tool for decrypting your files though, but it seems to be discontinued and of course, they should be able to block the malware first and not provide a tool to try to fix the damage.
If you would have tested the Pro version instead of the free one, the application control might have picked it up, but that is not the product we talk about in this thread of course. Maybe you can make a video with the application control enabled too in the future, to see it adds more protection.
Conclusion: Detection against 'normal malware' is very good, the ransomware one is very bad.

And the "awesome" results in AV test & good company ...it's a shame!May be their next version "Kungfu Panda" will be better against ransomware

Nowadays with AV vendors, protection take back seat, important is how big checkmark/protected should be, checkmark/protected should be placed in top/middle/right/left, upgrade tab should be placed top/right/left/bottom, ads on the GUI will look good in square or rectangle design, etc... And when they are finished, its time for changelog, major GUI overhaul, smooth navigation, upgrade to higher versions directly from the GUI, mmm lets put improved engine, andddd ohh ransomware is hot nowadays...ransomware protection - improved/new mechanism protects from known/unknown ransomware, And when they are finished, ohh andd ransomware protection will be available only in Total Security...brilliant idea, man...it was tough...lets have a drink...

Yes, even kaspersky missed it isnt it. few days before this test. But when I test this and re-analyze it.. kaspersky able to detect it.. but its late. Well at least they able detect it eventually.

Panda did a great job. The ransomware got through, but the ransomware protection(Data shield) is not included in the free version. It function a lot like Bitdefender ransomware protection. Thanks for this test @safe1st
