Trustworthy to replace K? I know its firewall definitely is better than simplewall.
While I favor Comodo, Kaspersky is also a reliable option. Perhaps Comodo will meet your needs; give it a shot.Trustworthy to replace K? I know its firewall definitely is better than simplewall.
With where you're at with Kaspersky, I wouldn't worry about it for any incremental improvement, compared to what Kaspersky protection offers. Just my opinionTrustworthy to replace K? I know its firewall definitely is better than simplewall.
ESET is well-know for its very low resources consumption; and the reverse for B.With where you're at with Kaspersky, I wouldn't worry about it for any incremental improvement, compared to what Kaspersky protection offers. Just my opinion

I was going to mention that regarding Bitdefender, as if you wanted to see the opposite of lean and mean, install BitdefenderESET is well-know for its very low resources consumption; and the reverse for B.
Tried it before, but not for a long period; my poor machine couldn't tolerateI was going to mention that regarding Bitdefender, as if you wanted to see the opposite of lean and mean, install Bitdefender![]()

I thought I was going to beat you in Ram usage, but @rashmi beat me in Comodo, the ram consumption of CIS/CF is impressive. Unfair comparison on my part ClamAV, sorry Lol.With where you're at with Kaspersky, I wouldn't worry about it for any incremental improvement, compared to what Kaspersky protection offers. I have 8 DDR3, so I look for resource-effecient solutions.lol ClamAV... Ahhh the illusion of security. RAM is still an issue these days? Even budget laptops have 16GB DDR5.
Search thru this vendor on ebay, good deals, good reputation, on 2nd hand machines. I bought 2 machines from them. derrick4earl: Electronics, Cars, Fashion, Collectibles, Coupons and More | eBayI have 8 DDR3, so I look for resource-effecient solutions.
Also CPU load matters as I have 4th gen i-5 one.
Although ClamAV has a Windows version, I only installed it on Linux to test it, so I can't say how effective it is because I've used it so little, so I can't give an opinion.lol ClamAV... Ahhh the illusion of security.
I was just joking with @Jonny Quest with a bit of humor. No disrespect to @Parkinsond's post. I use Linux only as a hobby.RAM is still an issue these days?

Thought of trying Linux several times, but I'm too old for new challengesAlthough ClamAV has a Windows version, I only installed it on Linux to test it, so I can't say how effective it is because I've used it so little, so I can't give an opinion.

But I'm also @Parkinsond we're in the same boat literally speaking, I still have a bit of patience, but there are limits, my nephews, when they come to the house, they turn the house upside down, I go crazy with them, but they're children, I was a child myself once, you have to be patient, because I was a little boy too.Thought of trying Linux several times, but I'm too old for new challenges![]()

I set UAC to always notify when I'm using the crippled Microsoft defender; with Kaspersky, I feel it redundant.@Parkinsond:
I would set UAC to Always Notify.
No Log-in security???
Any Periodic malware scanners would be welcome.
System Recovery -> a full image system solution would be welcome.
Using this system for banking...I would pair KFree with an additional layer of protection to harden the prevention: WindowsHybridHardening Light, CyberLock,...
Don't say that. You will miss the stuff you use. For example your browser bookmarks and passwords. It may not be "valuable" in a traditional sense. And you may not recall where on the internet you found a particular piece of saved info.I have no valuable stuff for backup;
