While I favor Comodo, Kaspersky is also a reliable option. Perhaps Comodo will meet your needs; give it a shot.

With where you're at with Kaspersky, I wouldn't worry about it for any incremental improvement, compared to what Kaspersky protection offers. Just my opinion

I thought I was going to beat you in Ram usage, but @rashmi beat me in Comodo, the ram consumption of CIS/CF is impressive. Unfair comparison on my part ClamAV, sorry Lol.

I have 8 DDR3, so I look for resource-effecient solutions.
Also CPU load matters as I have 4th gen i-5 one.
Actually, after disabling scan of encrypted connections and script injection and installing the extension, the performance is great without compromising web security.

Yeah I know people have older hardware. Time for an upgrade? 4th gen i5 is still good but it's bordering obsolete. I've got 32GB DDR5 so I don't care about RAM. Next laptop will be 64GB DDR.

It's a problem that's been solved I think due to time.

Although ClamAV has a Windows version, I only installed it on Linux to test it, so I can't say how effective it is because I've used it so little, so I can't give an opinion.

But I'm also @Parkinsond we're in the same boat literally speaking, I still have a bit of patience, but there are limits, my nephews, when they come to the house, they turn the house upside down, I go crazy with them, but they're children, I was a child myself once, you have to be patient, because I was a little boy too.

I set UAC to always notify when I'm using the crippled Microsoft defender; with Kaspersky, I feel it redundant.
No log in security, because I live alone.
Periodic malware scanners most probably less effecient than Kaspersky.
I have no valuable stuff for backup; just a bunch of songs and movies with few photos and pdf files; nothing invaluable.
Regarding banking, my internet banking is limited and does not allow money transfer; only checking for the monthly salary
Use WHH for a while before, but I thought it is not necessary considering my conservative browsing habits.

Don't say that. You will miss the stuff you use. For example your browser bookmarks and passwords. It may not be "valuable" in a traditional sense. And you may not recall where on the internet you found a particular piece of saved info.
