K7 is an Indian company, fairly well known in its home country, much less so internationally, although it is beginning to make a name for itself.
For several years now, it has been offering its flagship product: K7
In this 2025 version, there are very few major changes, but K7 puts its MAT AI to the fore.
The product is not configured, as the publisher wants it to be accessible to all, which is what I do.
Let's see what it can do.
Interface :
The interface is very simple, with a strong blue accent. Above all, it differs from that of other versions of the antivirus, which retain a common shape.
The software is very light, which I appreciate.
Web protection: 10/10
All links are blocked by K7.
Fake crack : 1/1
All installations were blocked by K7.
Malware Pack : Remaining 36 files out of 247.
I expected everything but this.
During startup, the malware begins to show its face. K7 will try to remove it, but the machine will be infected.
Then, a piece of malware using PowerShell proved recalcitrant despite K7's warnings, so I decided to reboot the machine and continue the test.
But what followed wasn't any help, as a BATCH malware installed itself and began to perform its actions until it saturated the RAM. I rebooted again, but ran a script that destroyed all the computer's files, antivirus and system files.
I have to stop the test in a hurry, it's a complete failure...
Final scan : PC destroyed, I can't analyze
Final opinion:
K7 is a product with some good ideas, but I have to admit that I'm very disappointed.
The last versions were very promising and I could see a nice progression. Unfortunately, this version is a fiasco.
It's sad... I really hope that Team K7 will wake up and put things right, because right now, I'd not recommanded it.
