Features

  • Easy to use User Interface
  • Outdated software will show in Red
  • Up to date will show in Green
  • Not installed softwares will show up as Black
  • Patches many common third party products e.g. Reader, Flash, Java, Quicktime and More
  • Portable and very small around 500 Kb

  • Added feature to allow you to export and import the options menu settings
    • If the exported PatchMyPC.settings file is in the same folder as PatchMyPC.exe, the settings will auto import when run. This will allow you to keep settings easily when running on multiple machines the a USB or network drive!
  • Fixed an issue where Flash Player Plugin may not be detected as installed

Note:
Their behavior is great, if the installers bloated, they removed it from their application, Great!

Might have to give this a shot. I am glad it's just a software updater. Sometimes, hardware / peripheral driver upgrades brick your PC. *cough* Intel *cough*

  • Fixed a bug that may cause some applications to be detected incorrectly if the first number of the version is larger or smaller than the second
    • For example: version 10 would be seen as less than version 9 since 9 is larger than 1
  • Removed the startup feature due to Windows 8.1 compatibility issues and since there are tools built into the OS for startup functions
  • Fixed an issue with some applications being listed more than once in the update status tab
  • Update status will now list applications alphabetically
  • Disabled Microsoft Security Essentials checkbox if running on Windows 8 or higher
  • Fixed a bug that caused some applications to not be listed when clicking Re-Check software after performing any updates
