This also applies to Windows 7 Professional: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_7_editions#Comparison_chart

Yeah, he could also be using it because he has a lot of computers on his network and they need to be connected and I guess he might have a home business?

No home business although I do have a home network. I do contract work and they require a high security system in order to vpn in. Since security is paramount that is why I use the fde disk drive, and the other enterprise security tools. So if my laptop is lost or stolen it's information is safe and the gps tracker should help locate it

How do you find running this, does it work well? Because at TAFE we have been looking at this and the tests that I have done found that it is not as good as the normal house version of Norton 360 or Internet Security.

I see. Do you have any problems with connectivity or anything else? meaning are all the other computers in the house Enterprise? or are they just Professional and Home and what not?

To have a safe virtualization from your enterprise then choose Sandboxie or Bufferzone as your choice.

And add some useful on demand scanners like Hitman Pro and Comodo Cleaning Essentials.

It's funny, well shouldn't be funny, but you would think the enterprise edition of any software should be be more secure then a home version. Up until the 12.1 release of SEP Norton 360 and NIS were much stronger because they used Sonar instead of Truscan. Now that SEP uses Sonar it's on par with home versions. I actually only use SEP because of it's Management package and lockdown add-ons like network access control. To be honest I don't know if SEP really does anything, but what I do know is the bit9 parity suite is capab;e of catching anything that slips past my firewall. I have a checkpoint firewall which has AV and anti-malware built in so the SEP is really just a secondary AV check.

all the systems run Enterprise and they connect to a 2008 R2 server running hyper-v. No connection issues

From my experience with working up with the Computers and the server that we have at school, I can say that Symantec Endpoint Protection is a good software especially the latest version which is 12.1, Keeps your data safe from most attacks out there and the retail version is worth the cash too.

No need for any additional virtualized tools. I do use EAM, MBAM, Norman, and Hitman but very rarely. Most junk gets blocked @ the firewall level after that SEP should kill it and Bit9 doesn't allow any software to run without my knowledge and approval and if it's on their list I can't even run it. On extended family members and friends I setup CIS 5.9 and EAM6 (Took advantage of the buy 1 get 3 license offer). With them because they don't have the reason to justify thousands of $'s for security devices I install the full gambit of browser addon's and scanners. For me though I don't really need them, before getting a vpn connection my system goes through 3 different scanners, (SEP,Checkpoint Blade, and SEP with some type of government addon on their end that I wish I could buy). I have removed countless virus's and crapware from people's computers but I have never had to deal with 1 on my systems for over 15 years.

That's pretty much a great achievement. -Claps-
You really don't need any virtualization software like you've said before since Symantec Endpoint Protection can pretty much stand on its own. I'm managing the computers and the server at school and we've had no problems with malware for 2 years already ever since I installed SEP on the computers.
