Possible Browser Highjack 800# says my ip address has Zeus trojan

Open Internet browser it says Microsoft detected a Zeus virus and to call 800# after calling the guy says they located a Zeus trojan virus on my computer ip address and they can fix it but I had to pay

Why did you run it from Safe Mode?

It was in safe mode when I first ran malwarebytes...I assumed this was the operating mode I needed to be in while performing these tasks because I have not been able to use my browser without being redirected...apologize if my assumption was wrong,

Why did you run it from Safe Mode?

Was I able to run the program correctly since exiting safe mode? I am a college student and this is finals week for me...I am totally buggin' haha I need my computer
