Solved Possibly bricked my father's phone.

After upgrading my father's android firmware using Samsung Kies from 2.3.3 to 2.3.5, many apps stopped to work properly. I tried restarting the phone, but that didn't help. Then I tried to reset the phone, same result - that didn't help me. I have been annoyed by these issues so my decision was to install a Stock 2.3.3 ROM. I rooted the phone and that successfully completed, then I Used a program called Odin Multi Downloader to flash the ROM. I am not sure but maybe I've installed it the wrong way
(The ROM I have downloaded from samsmobile.com came with just 2 files (something called PDA, which I am not sure if the file is really the PDA and something called CSC), there was no bootloader and modem files that's why I am confused) and the cable got disconnected when the flashing was in progress. Flashing the ROM usually takes from 5 to 10 minutes but when the cable was disconnected it was at almost 40 minutes. I noticed I can still go into the Download Mode but not in the Recovery Mode. Do you think is there is any way to get this working again?

EDIT: I forgot to mention the Phone Specs :D
It is a Samsung Galaxy S Plus (GT-I9001)
I am currently living in Saudi Arabia (If it is needed if you want to link me to a ROM)

Cable disconnected before the home screen appeared is bad news...

Did you removed the sim and sd card before launching Odin, if not it may be the cause of the hang-up you had, then your cable was disconnected...(and this is not good).

Do you tried a factory reset after that?

Yes, I removed the SIM Card before the flash. I don't have an external SD Card.

How can I do a factory reset? I can do almost nothing on the phone.

I have read about CyanogenMod Before but it doesn't appear to support the Galaxy S Plus (GT-I9001): http://www.cyanogenmod.com/devices/samsung-galaxy-s

Thanks for taking the time trying to help me :) but as I said in my first post that I can't go into the recovery mode, which can be accessed by the Volume Up + Power Button. It just shows the screen with the picture I uploaded in Post #3.

I have just finished downloading a stock 2.3.5 ROM, assuming that the apps crashes were caused by a problem during the upgrade process. The ROM file has a .tar.md5 extension, which is much easier to install. Do you think that it is safe to proceed installing the ROM or I have to do something before?

I successfully installed the stock 2.3.5 ROM from almost 1 week ago. I've confirmed that the crashes I've faced are bugs in the 2.3.5 ROM. So I tried again with the installation of the 2.3.3 ROM using Odin. I only chosen the PDA but not chosen anything for the CSC. After finishing flashing the ROM I found that the phone does not start up, it keeps repeating the splash screen. I restarted the phone entering the recovery mode and chosen to do a factory reset. Then the phone worked normally. All the applications that were not working properly are now working. But I noticed one thing that I am worried about:

When typing *#1234# in the dial pad, the PDA Version is different from that of Phone and the CSC version is unknown:

Oh sorry forgot to mark it as solved. Thanks to everyone who tried to help me. :)
And thanks to Samsung-updates.com for helping me to find firmwares for the phone. :D
