Wow.....This is the same thing that happened last time. I shut down the computer to move it to somewhere to have it run the chkdsk. When I restarted it, the problem "magically" went away!! The response time is now back to normal. I moved it make to the original location where I use an exterior monitor, Cat 5 cable for the internet, wireless mouse and keyboard, etc. plugged all that stuff back in and the response is still fine. It must have been one of the last things you had me do. I did not run the chkdsk, since I didn't want that to somehow affect the response time. I know it shouldn't, but..... Anyway, thank you very much for your time and effort!! Edit: I currently use Microsoft Essentials and Malwarebytes. Is there something better I should be using? Thanks again! Edit2: Or, since you were saying everything's clean from the reports and there is no Malware, could it be something entirely unrelated? It seemed to go away during a reboot when nothing had changed. Anyways, just a thought. Thanks!!
