There are several different viruses/trojans and so on that can change cryptocurrency addresses at withdrawal pages, they change it in the html code so it looks still the same for the user.
Experienced this myself recently........
I was wondering is there any kind of browser extension or similar that can detect this kind of tampering or protect against it?

new Paste Protection feature. Whenever you copy-paste any sensitive data, like a credit card number or crypto wallet identifier, you run the risk of it being hijacked and modified by some bad actors who want your money to land in their accounts instead.

Paste Protection protects you from this. When you copy sensitive data in Opera Browser, the data is monitored for changes for some time or until you paste the data. If the data is changed by an external application, a warning is displayed.

Previous tested when this arrived 2022, I felt it was a bit hit and miss. Nowadays when I test a few bitcoin addresses, the feature seems to work. It would still need to be tested against malware to get a better assessment.

Just avoid pirated, cracked, torrented software, keygens/activators, hacks/cheats, etc.
