Hi there, I am following the very helpful a guide for removing Weknow.ac redirect

I am at Step 1: System Preferences > Profiles > AdminPrefs

I removed on Admin Prefs profile associated with WeKnow but there is another one (which could be as a result of another fix I tried for this issue)

Code:
]com.google.Chrome Forced

I think it relates to running these commands in Terminal:
defaults write com.google.Chrome HomepageIsNewTabPage -bool false
defaults write com.google.Chrome NewTabPageLocation -string "https://www.google.com/"
defaults write com.google.Chrome HomepageLocation -string "https://www.google.com/"
defaults delete com.google.Chrome DefaultSearchProviderSearchURL
defaults delete com.google.Chrome DefaultSearchProviderNewTabURL
defaults delete com.google.Chrome DefaultSearchProviderName

Do I delete this profile as well?

Thank you so much for all your help

Hello,
If you added this profile then it's safe to remove it. As a general rule, if there isn’t a Profiles icon, you don’t have any profiles installed, which is normal.

Did you manage to scan your device with Malwarebytes?

Also which browsers are affected by this browser hijacker?
