I just got this one 5 minutes ago above the system trayI’m a bit jealous of you guys. Just yesterday I received a popup saying I only had 29% of my RAM free — obviously trying to sell that PC Optimizer junk.
I also occasionally get popups asking me to run a scan after restarting the machine.
For what it’s worth, my license was purchased from a major computer hardware retailer here in Brazil (Kabum!).
Overall, I like the product quite a bit, but I really dislike how aggressively McAfee tries to keep reminding me that it exists.
This is terrible for a product like McAfee with these pop-ups saying your PC has 53 registry problems. It seems like McAfee is haunted by the past or rising from the dead. It's not good to see this. They need to focus on security.I just got this one 5 minutes ago above the system trayThe first time I installed McAfee, I had an option to disable Notifications in Account/General Settings, but that has since been an option of the past?

After three months, McAfee has finally released the new R136 version.Any noticed changes??
McAfee's architecture should not conflict in any way with Sandboxie and KeyScrambler, some users have even combined McAfee with Eset.@Trident Firstly I want to thank you because if it were not for your reviews and tests, I wouldn’t have tried Mcafee. I use it now on my family PC with SWH and WFC. It works flawlessly, is ultra fast and has protected the PC well. Recently my father has started using the PC to log into his bank website and because of that I have thought of isolating the browser using sandboxie and using KeyScrambler. The default browser is Firefox with uBo and Web Advisor. What do you suggest? Is it okay to use Sandboxie and KeyScrambler with Mcafee?
Thank you for your response . Combining 2 antiviruses together generally is not a good idea. I myself use Web Advisor with ESET but not the full suite. But for the past few days I was really wondering if I could install AVG or Avast with ONLY the Behaviour Shield component in order to complement my ESET SSP. I don’t know if anybody at MT has any idea regarding this strange comboMcAfee's architecture should not conflict in any way with Sandboxie and KeyScrambler, some users have even combined McAfee with Eset.
They rewrote McAfee with much newer architecture.Thank you for your response . Combining 2 antiviruses together generally is not a good idea. Sandboxie compatible with sandboxie? I think one of them should have been McafeeI can confirm that Sandboxie is 100% full compatible with sandboxie both versions.
meant to say McAfee ill edit my post lol to many beers that night HAHAHA!Sandboxie compatible with sandboxie? I think one of them should have been Mcafee![]()
I would take eset over mcafee, the price this day isnt bad from 3rd party keysites. Apparently the sites selling keys that are attached to email of buyers, but it seems that doesnt affect into anything else, you can bind the key to your own email.Question for Trident:
Taking licence cost out of the equation, would you recommend McAfee over ESET?
Do you mean this one, R136?I received a new update; you can check it manually.
