Fine configuration.

You need a backup and recovery tools like your external HDD/USB to backup your important files.
Or make a system image by using the built in from Windows or try third party like Macrium Reflect.

Optional suggestion: Lastpass (password manager) to store your sensitive password information securely.

I have one suggestion to make, add a second browser Mozilla based in case you have a problem with Chrome.

Got nothing to add apart from perhaps add Sandboxie or VirtualBox to your system for the sole purpose of testing some software before applying to the main host (outside its virtualization). You will be surprised on the times you wish you didn't install something for some reason and have to clean every registry residue left over...
