Hi, I've not posted a security configuration for some time last on 2019 so decided to post a latest one, I use this config on both my daily use laptop and gaming pc and a very similar setup on other family members devices got Bitdefender family pack 2 years on offer earlier the year.

I recommend using encrypted DNS with a DNS provider of your choice. I personally can recommend NextDNS and Quad9.
As Emsisoft Emergency Kit also uses Bitdefender engine, you might want to replace it with something like Norton Power Eraser or Malwarebytes Free. (y)

Your Realtime Protection states: None.
Opps Fixed that thanks.

I know Emsisosft uses BD engine most of Emsisoft detection are from it they also got their own sig that sometime picks up stuff BD doesn't, I also use Malwarebytes might take a look at Power eraser.

I will have a look at DNS provider at some stage.

How do you like Bitdefender so far?
I've only used it for a few week on my daily use laptop doesn't seem to slow it down CPU usage seem quite good since switching to BD from Eset the battery life on my laptop seem to increases a little, actually there is a slow down only on start up for about 1-2 min during that time BD is near 100% CPU but after that it zero lag.

On my gaming pc with AMD Ryzen I don't noticed BD even at boot.

Update 11/10/2021:
Replaced BitDefender Total with F-Secure Safe overall protection BitDefender is probably a bit better product but replaced it due to a few issues recent it's been randomly pegging the CPU on my daily laptop for last few weeks not sure want changed also experienced a few random system lock up that not happen since removing BD, switched to F-secure the laptop seem a bit more speedy and battery life increased by hour or so compared to BD.

Replaced Nordvpn with Mullvad Speed wise seem roughly same as Nord limited testing.
