Defender with zero fps, quite impressive. Glad i ditched sophos/f-secure and went for defender :devilish:

Do g-data has still beast in their products, otherwise it only uses bitdefender signatures? Just bit of difference in results both these two

End of 2025 when I completely moved to Linux on my new laptop, I removed my second TB HD which I kept for data on my old Windows desktop and ran real malware test on Windows 10 with WHHL light (WDAC ISG excluding UAC protected folders, SRP deny scripts in user folders, allowing executables and Defender on HIGH using configure defender with firewall wall hardening) and threw every malware I could lay my hands on it (for free) and NPE and HMP only found inactive remnants of intrusion attempts. The router firewall logs showed nothing funny, so I dare say it was not infected.

After two months of throwing rocks at Windows it was still functional and I had to wipe the system before bringing it to recycle collection point. So with safe hex practice Defender is a solid choice when you up his defenses with Configure Defender.

Even mcafee didn't live up to the hype. Mr. consistent kaspersky got the best protection score but fps little more than what u would expect.
meanwhile total av trying to say i am not that bad am I?

man I want to buy my old subscription to Kaspersky so bad I could just spit nails. Damn politicians and 3 letter agencies with their games, pretending it's security, when we all know it's not....

IF Kaspersky was dangerous every country would ban it, not just the CIA/US GOV.... And Yes I love my country... Gov, not so much, just a bunch of people like us, selfish, ambitious, and flawed... Trumps cool though.

8 false positives for gen in that test as well.

I remember a AV-Comparatives test about a year ago? (not sure which type of test) where F-Secure had about 45 FP's, as the result summary said, "remarkably many" 😅
But, they have been improving since then, and the beta I'm running, no real issues so far, as well as the consumer version on the other laptop.

I would probably still be using it today as well, but the politics (pre ban) issue is when I switched.

NOT from AV-Comparatives The packages from Avira, ESET, F-Secure and K7 Computing caused minor peaks in the system load; however, they didn’t slow down Windows across the board. For this reason, there was only a tiny deduction for the 4 packages: 5.5 out of 6 points.

@Khushal from that report, as well as some of AV-Comparatives reports, I've found, and since F-Secure and Avira both use the same scanning engine, is on first launch of an app, it can, have a slight delay, "system load"? After that, it's fine no slow downs. It can at times also happen after an app update, where the scanning engine is probably rescanning the app, but again, after that, no problems.

It's still my favorite AV for stability, the settings, the layout, the browser & banking protection, and yes, even the device protection ;) :)

Whatever the reasons, when you have a favorite product, stick with it. Reports and reviews are for people who don't have favorite products, in my opinion. 😉
