Both F-Secure and ESET offer solid protection. F-Secure is known for its simplicity and ease of use, while ESET provides more detailed settings for customization. If you're a casual user, F-Secure might be more suitable. For your gaming desktop, consider a solution with a game mode to avoid interruptions.

My laptop is up for renewal on F-Secure. I don't use it a lot, but just curious what people's opinions are these days. What say you F-Secure or ESET? My gaming Desktop is just using MD.
Have not seen the new 25.2 version release of F-Secure be smashed by @Shadowra.

ESET. Meh. It is great if you can master its HIPS. Only then do you have truly robust security from the ESET feature set.

If you don't use it a lot, why not just use MD? I think the jury is still out for some of us (for some, not) as far as they're "dumbing it down", but if they can prove the protection will be there.... I do have a ticket into support regarding 25.2 flagging the Mullvad Browser as it was quarantined by F-Secure. ESET on my phone (Android) has been wonderful, no battery drain, good stability and performance. On my PC's ESET Premium has been solid. If I ever renew it, I would just go with ESET Internet Security, as I'm not downloading the internet every day and in need of Live Guard.

My F-Secure subscription ends in 30 days, if I do renew, it will just be for one device and only for Internet Security, just so I can keep track of them, to keep an eye out for them in what they're up to :)

F-Secure's future seems unclear at this point in time so it might be better to not invest in it at the moment. So, I would choose ESET out these two options or just use MD similar to your gaming PC.
I agree, let some of the dust settle, and in another build update or two (25.4?) then maybe @Shadowra can test it to give us a better idea of its protection ability.

Coin Flip. Just make sure to buy from @SerialCart
Also, if purchasing F Secure Internet Security, it has been done away with, and the IS license will install Total. Which to a lot of people is a nice upgrade.
Cannot go wrong either way, and @SerialCart prices for them are hard to beat. ✌️
Did you see them mention it on the forum, that they had discontinued Internet Security? Would you post the link, please? :) I could have missed that one :)

From my F-Secure IS subscription renewal page:

It's mostly just to mess with something different. Like I said the Gaming PC, which is also my Handbrake machine, runs MD.
