Please clarify your Real-time protection and On-demand scanners.

Which version of Malwarebytes and Bitdefender?
Why do you use Malwarebytes in replace of Bitdefender for real-time protection?

What was the cause of your most recent malware infection? Were you able to resolve it in a timely manner?

In a nutshell:

- Enable Smartscreen
- Switch to uBlock Origin
- UAC up to max
- Disable Mbam real-time shield IF you have Bitdefender protection running (make sure to clarify that).
- Use a good backup software like Macrium Reflect.

Peace!

Enable smartscreen.
I would think Bitdefender would be you real time protection and MBAM your on demand scanner.
Please verify the versions and edit your config accordingly.
What do you use for a system backup solution?
What was the cause of your infection?

Why SmartScreen disabled? Enable it, it is fundamental to prevent possible infections.

Then, do you have Bitdefender as on-demand scanner and MalwareBytes in real-time protection?

Add ZAM Free.

Why not browser extensions? I suggest you to add HTTPS Everywhere and replace Adblock with uBlock Origin and add Disconnect.

You can choose a better backup solution, such as Macrium Reflect Free or AOMEI Backupper.

Thanks for sharing.
