Browsers and Extensions: "Lyrics here by Rob W"

I thought this was a joke of some sort...

But no, this is an actual extension.

Now, I must try this.

Setup is overall pretty direct, simple, clean --- and definitely not overkill.

Looks good.

If it were me... I'd add something to try to catch a few more things at the browser level. Maybe something like MBG, WDBP, BT, Netcraft... but I tend toward overkill.

Looks pretty darn good. (y)

I award you a 100% genuine simulated cyber-bag of Rock Star Rocks for this meritorious setup.

Thank you for the kind words :) I like to KISS if you know what I mean :p

Thing is I have used many browser extensions for that same purpose in the past but I find that very rarely they actually find something bad. Maybe it's my browsing habits or I am just lucky. But to me they look like bloat, slowing down the pages. IMO Google safe browsing and MS Smartscreen is all you need along with Virustotal.com.

I award you a 100% genuine simulated cyber-bag of Rock Star Rocks for this meritorious setup.

Wow. How did you know!? I'm so touched.

I'm actually from the state of Idaho in the US... which is where the best potatoes come from.

And I worked on a potato farm... and I love potatoes.

@Burrito did you know that the word burrito is a Spanish word that comes from the diminutive of a donkey.

Ha!

I did kinda sorta know that at one time... but I admit, I'd forgotten.

Thanks for the reminder Bribon. (y)

Look at that burrito.... a super attractive and cute yet remarkably strong little guy that burrito is... no wonder Mom named me that. ;) :D

which doesn't requires elevation, so you should stay safe :p
Actually it does with UAC on "Always notify". AFAI remember this was the same on previous builds of Win10. I am on v2004 currently.

UAC doesn't allow screenshots or video recording so I had to take it with my phone.

Updated to Win10 version 2004 build 19041.172
Thor Home premium is my new favorite. (sorry EAM, my license expired:cry:)
Pros: Amazingly light performance (maybe due to Avira engine) , Dark Layer Guard (basically web protection component but on steroids), inbuilt software updater
Cons: Setting is kinda a maze (at least in my opinion), no option to force update program, software updater list is kinda small

Disclaimer: I am not a tester, whatever my opinion of a security program is just take it with a big bag of salt. I give more priority to system stability, performance and less annoyances than to the detection prowess of a certain security programs.
