Earlier this month, Russia signed a law giving it the power to censor the internet. Now, it has passed another law banning the sale of smartphones, computers and smart TVs that don't have Russian software pre-installed, the BBC reported. Those devices can still be sold with their normal software, but Russian alternatives must be installed, as well. However, critics have said that's not possible on certain devices, and the law could force some international companies to leave the market.
The bill was created by a "pan-partisan group of legislators," according to Meduza. The aim is ostensibly to give consumers more choice, according to co-author Oleg Nikolayev. "When we buy complex electronic devices, they already have individual applications, mostly Western ones, pre-installed on them," he said. "Naturally... they might think that there are no domestic alternatives available. And if, alongside pre-installed applications, we will also offer the Russian ones to users, then they will have a right to choose."

Maybe this'll force companies to have one Russian app on all their phones such that we also get to experience its effect outside Russia.

Wouldn't that mean President Orange Face would have to ban all cell phone sales in the U.S.? Now that I think of it, he would wholeheartedly back Russia on this and extend the same imposition on the U.S. as he just loves Putin. 🥰🥰🥰😍😍😍🤣🤣🤣

In addition to Kaspersky antivirus, Dr.Web antivirus, NANO antivirus and Yandex browser, I don’t know our other Russian software :))) Although, they say, there is also a Russian system cleaning program called Chistilka :))) And just the other day Kaspersky released a new product - Kaspersky OS (operating system). :))) And it is all the domestic software that will be in smartphones and laptops, which will be sold in Russia.

There is Adguard also, nyet?
Adguard Software Limited is registered and located in Cyprus - Panayides Building, Chrysanthou Mylona St., 3030 Limassol, Cyprus (about Adguard), there is only a representative office in Russia, so the Adguard program can hardly be called Russian :)
