I see you are using BitDefender. I could not get it to function properly on my W8.1 system (bugs).

How long have you been using it?

Just a few suggestions ...

If BitDefender is working well on your system, then there isn't much to add.

• MBAM free - primarily for PUPs.
• LastPass if you have many passwords.
• AOMEI Free will do everything you would need for back-up; or
• Free 3GB Touro Cloud - automated, incremental back-up.

Add on demand scanners and a backup, having an external HDD/USB is already capable to save your important files.
