Hello,

Here is a tutorial: How to search YouTube videos with Google Omnibox.

1. Go to YouTube - www.youtube.com
2. Right-click on YouTube search bar and choose: Add as search engine...

3. Confirm action on the pop-up by clicking OK

4. Start typing "youtube" in the address bar. After a few letters, the address bar will automatically offer you the option to search the site.

5. Hit Tab on your keyboard to convert the address bar into a search box for the site.

6. Then type what you're looking for and press Enter.

Sometimes it determines that it wants to do this by itself at times (not sure why) but this is a useful tip.

@Fedora I guess that Chrome added YouTube search automatically under Search engines list.
You can remove it under: Settings => Manage search engines... => Other search engines
