Misc Configurations:
Configurations mentioned before that are still ongoing:
  • Avast is set to Moderate Hardened Mode.
  • MalwareBytes runs a Threat Scan every day at midnight.
  • Windows warns me upon installing/first time running software outside of the store.
  • System Maintenance is ran everyday by midnight, as device is usually on.
New Configurations added:
  • MalwareBytes runs a custom scan (Scan every disk and partition for anything including rootkits, etc) every 1st of the month at midnight.
  • Manual scans via Crystal Security are ran everyday.
  • System Image is backed up with the built in software. Image is rewritten and updated every month.

I would remove Crystal Security and Mbam real time protection and include a default-deny one such as Voodooshield. Similar use of resources, much stronger protection.
Good configuration otherwise.
Thanks for sharing.

Self-Made Backup Software?

Don't know if I can say that anything self made is secure. You're better off going with a reliable backup solution.

Data Backup: Rollback rx
System Backup: Macrium Reflect

Both are free.

Implement some type of system & data backup solution.Consider backing up important data to an external drive also.
Your real time protection is not an on demand scanner.
Thanks for sharing your config :)
