How can I run a security scan on an ipad? I don't own a mac. I use G Data Antivirus on my laptop. I first searched for www.sendspace.com to look if it is legit. Then I found out its a filehoster. Then I copy pasted the link from the spammer from the email and inserted it into the browser on my laptop. Then sendspace asked for captcha. I clicked the pictures but in the end I didn't submit it and closed the tab. Then I entered the link into safari on the ipad by hand. Then sendspace asked for captcha verification again. This time I submitted the captcha and I was redirected to sendspace.com main page. Is it possible that an unnoticed download happend on the ipad? My Antivirus didnt find anything on my laptop. Yes it was in the spam folder. But I never receive spam mails in this email adress. Actually since it was a link to a filehoster I just wanted to check if the file is an .exe or really a picture. I didn't want to download it. But afterwards I asked myself if there might be something downloaded from this link anyway since I found a website with a list of sendspace links including malware. Not sure if its possible to get infected by just clicking on the link or if it has to be downloaded. Thank you for your answers.
