I've been using Mullvad browser most of the time manly for web viewing & it does a great job for that, I still have FF on for YouTube etc but happy with Mullvad, worth a try....
After playing with all kinds of browsers, even the most exotic, I decided with stay with most two reliable with highest market share, regardless of any bugs or lack of features.

I no longer trust cloned browsers, and the issue of delayed security updates must first be resolved. I'm not talking about a delay of a day or two, as is the case with Brave and Vivaldi browsers, which is acceptable, but at least a whole week. I was a happy user of the Waterfox browser until I discovered that it had not yet been updated to the latest version of Firefox ESR, even though it was a critical security update.

Thanks to @Marko :) for telling me this earlier, and now I'm back to using Firefox again.

I love seeing people using common sense and following my advice. I'll just add that 99% of features Firefox forks have can usually be added in Firefox itself through about:config. The only difference is forks come with those settings enabled by default, and Firefox doesn't.

Unfortunately, I can't because Chrome is about 52.5% faster than Firefox in my Speedometer 3.1 test.
Or you could say that Firefox is about 34.4% slower than Chrome.;)

And that's okay.

I already said, this test doesn't indicate anything really. It's only a tool for developers of the web browser to find the areas where they need to work on; nothing else. I get the same result as you for Firefox, yet, Firefox loads websites faster than Chrome on my Lenovo Legion laptop. I remember I even provided you with the screenshots with console open.

From what I read, the reason why Firefox lacks behind Chrome and Safari is their approach; in order to compete with Chrome, they'd need to rewrite entire engine, but they won't do that because they prefer security over speed.

I couldn't care less about those browser benchmark honestly. As long as the web browser is secure, fast and renders websites properly, I'll use it.
